This is a charming set of six antique solid silver teaspoons presented in their original fitted case. The spoons were hallmarked in Birmingham in 1925, making them nearly 100 years old and carrying significant historical appeal. They bear the maker's marks for D&B (likely Deakin & Francis or another prominent Birmingham silversmith). The set weighs approximately 80 grams, confirming substantial solid silver construction throughout. Each spoon features the classic fiddle pattern, which remains one of the most timeless and popular silver designs. The spoons are housed in a navy blue lined presentation case with gilt tooling, adding to their display value. All six pieces match perfectly and show consistent patina appropriate to their age. The hallmarks are clear and legible, including the lion passant, anchor, date letter, and maker's mark. This set would be ideal for afternoon tea service or as a collectible addition to antique silver collections. The compact case makes this set perfect for gifting or safe storage.
